ABOUT AJA MONET
Aja Monet is a poet, lyricist, and musician whose work bridges the worlds of literature, music, and social transformation. Hailed as one of the most important poetic voices of her generation, she became the youngest-ever winner of the legendary Nuyorican Poets Café Grand Slam at just 19 years old. Her art is rooted in truth-telling, memory, and the collective power of imagination, weaving together themes of love, justice, and liberation.
In addition to her literary achievements, Aja has toured internationally, performing on stages across Europe, the Caribbean, and the U.S. She has collaborated with leading musicians and artists, bringing her distinct voice to projects that push the boundaries of genre and form.
