Event Type
This specially designed yoga class for children aged 4 to 8 provides a nurturing space for young minds and bodies to grow. Through a playful combination of yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, kids will learn how to calm their minds, improve strength and flexibility, and sharpen focus and concentration. By fostering self-awareness, the class helps children recognize and manage their emotions in a healthy, positive way.
The experience is enriched with fun music, interactive exercises, meditation, and creative expression through art. A key component of the class is the use of mandalas, which allows kids to engage in mindful art, encouraging creativity and focus in a non-competitive environment.
Class Structure:
- Yoga (45-60 minutes): Children will explore yoga poses and breathing techniques tailored to their level, helping them increase physical strength and flexibility while improving emotional balance.
- Mindful Art (60 minutes): After yoga, the children can participate in a creative art session, where they work on mindful projects like mandala drawings. This time allows them to express themselves, relax, and further cultivate focus and self-awareness.
Children are free to join either the yoga class, the art session, or both, depending on their interests and needs.
For Parents: While the little ones are engaged in their activities, parents have the opportunity to take part in a 2-hour Kundalini Yoga and Sound Healing Gong class. This parallel class allows parents to unwind, recharge, and focus on their own well-being through powerful breathwork, meditation, and the soothing vibrations of the gong.
Why Attend?
- For Kids: This class supports the holistic development of children by promoting mindfulness, emotional regulation, physical strength, and creativity in a fun and engaging way.
- For Parents: Parents can enjoy a peaceful, meditative practice while their children are guided through a nurturing and mindful experience, allowing both to benefit from a healthy, balanced morning.
What to Bring:
- For Kids: Comfortable clothes for yoga and art activities, a yoga mat (if available), and an open mind ready to play and explore.
- For Parents: Comfortable clothes for Kundalini yoga, a yoga mat, and a willingness to relax and enjoy the sound healing experience.
This dual-experience offers a fantastic opportunity for both children and parents to cultivate mindfulness, physical wellness, and creative expression in a supportive and peaceful environment.
