Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays, a beloved community festival, has been a vibrant part of Little Havana since 2000. This nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of this nationally recognized historic neighborhood. Through the generous support of donors and volunteers, Viernes Culturales has created a space for locals and visitors alike to experience the heart of Miami’s Cuban culture.
In addition to organizing the monthly art, music, and culture festival, Viernes Culturales manages the Little Havana Welcome Center, the only official visitor center in the area. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Welcome Center provides helpful resources, including a free Little Havana map produced in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB).
The Welcome Center serves as a gateway to the neighborhood, guiding visitors through the lively streets, historic landmarks, and vibrant art galleries that make Little Havana unique. Whether you’re attending one of the cultural events or exploring the area, Viernes Culturales continues to be a cornerstone in preserving and sharing the spirit of this iconic Miami community.
